Richard Zalatoris and Catherine Zalatoris raised him in Plano, Texas, USA, and enrolled him in representing Trinity Christian Academy in suburban Dallas, Texas. 

Before enrolling him in Texas, in order for Will to grab the opportunity to reach the PGA Tour, his parents packed up their entire lives and moved from San Francisco to Dallas when he was nine years old.

Not only that, Will shared a few of his old memories of how his mother used to drive him to the course when he was five years old. His father, Richard, also helped him practice in random areas, even parking lots.

Will believes that his parents have sacrificed a lot for Will to be where he is today. He shared in Golf Digest, "Without my father taking me to a driving range when I was seven years old to swing thousands of balls into a net 15 feet in front of us, there would be no Korn Ferry Tour trophy at home."

Will Zalatoris was named ACC Player of the Year in 2017 while attending Wake Forest University in North Carolina. [3] In 2017, he was a member of the United States Walker Cup squad, alongside future PGA Tour champions Collin Morikawa and Cameron Champ. Then, Zalatoris dropped out of school after his junior year to pursue a career.

On the contrary, we are yet to find Will Zalatoris on his Twitter account. It appears that he rarely uses social media platforms.

As for Will Zalatoris's career, he turned professional in 2018, Zalatoris went pro, but he didn't get it past the first stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Q School.

Zalatoris relied on Monday qualifying and sponsor exemptions to compete in Korn Ferry Tour events in 2019. On July 7, he earned full membership for the 2020 season after tying for third in the LECOM Health Challenge. He finished the regular season 60th in points and earned full status for the 2020 season.

Moreover, Zalatoris finished second in the Master's Tournament in April 2021 with a score of 9-under-par, one stroke behind winner Hideki Matsuyama, the first male Japanese player to win a major. For the 2020–21 season, Zalatoris was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

In the same manner, he tied for first place in the Farmers Insurance Open after 72 holes in January 2022. When Luke List struck his approach shot to a foot away from the first playoff hole and scored a birdie, he lost a sudden-death playoff to him.
