Why did Gregory betray Cassie? Gregory betrayed Cassie in FNAF Security Ruin to protect himself as indicated by his character in the series.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach Ruin is a free DLC expansion that was announced on May 30, 2022. It was released for free for PC, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5 on July 25, 2023.

Released in December 2021, FNAF Security Breach quickly proved divisive among fans. The story lacked any major lore reveals, and its PC port experienced a myriad of glitches.

Many of Security Breach's biggest mysteries have been addressed. The Tales of the Pizzaplex series unveiled the location's secret events and their real source.

With the release of Ruin, a new protagonist, Cassie, will seek to free her best friend, Gregory, setting the stage for Tales of the Pizzaplex's major reveals to make their in-game debut.

Stepping into the shoes of Cassie, you will be tasked with returning to the ramshackle mall in search of your friend, who is trapped under the Roxy Raceway.

Roxy Raceway, a huge indoor go-kart track, is one of the many locations inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. It appears in Security Breach and is themed around Roxanne Wolf aka Roxy.

Why Did Gregory Kill Cassie In FNAF Security Breach?

Why Did Gregory Kill Cassie? Gregory killed Cassie in FNAF Security Breach Ruin to protect himself. In the end, Gregory betrays Cassie to prevent the Mimic from following them.

The main plot of Ruin is that Cassie enters the ruined Pizzaplex to save her best friend, Gregory, who sent her a message asking for help because he is trapped under Roxy Raceway.

She starts her journey in the destroyed lobby, coming across a partially damaged S.T.A.F.F. Bot. Walking through the Pizzaplex, she eventually meets a ruined version of Glamrock Chica.

After securing a Faz wrench and repairing a conduit, she is attacked by Monty and falls into a suction tube.

It was revealed that Cassie was tricked into returning to the Pizzaplex by someone who pretended to be Gregory, presumably Afton, Vanny, or Mimic. Gregory later confirmed she was tricked by the latter.

The glowing red eyes seen in the top left corner implied that Vanny, the Daycare Attendant, or the Blob would be the main antagonist of this story. But, in Ruin, the red eyes are revealed to be Mimic.

Gregory appears to be Cassie's ally, as he's the only one she has been talking with without any potentially murderous intent.

Well, this is revealed to be false as Gregory prevents Cassie from escaping so that the Mimic won't follow them.

In the end, when Cassie thinks she has finally found Gregory, she learns that it was not him, but the Mimic who was making all those calls and tricked her into coming to the Pizzaplex.

When the Mimic approaches to attack her, Roxy appears to protect Cassie, even in her damaged condition.

As Cassie turns around to escape, she receives a call from Gregory. He informs her that he has been trying to reach her all night and that he is not at the Pizzaplex.

He says she needs to get out of the place now. He then tells his friend has access to the building maps and asks her to follow the (static) instructions.

As Cassie follows Gregory's instructions, she runs and reaches an elevator. Just as the elevator door is closing, the Mimic attempts to reach her but fails to do so in time.

Gregory once again connects to her and explains she was never supposed to go there. He reveals that the M.X.E.S. security program was designed to keep that thing in the sinkhole hidden.

Cassie's actions inadvertently shut down the security, allowing the Mimic to escape and cause havoc.

"Now it's free. We can't risk being followed. I'm sorry," Gregory says before the elevator falls and presumably kills Cassie.

However, it's not clear if Cassie is killed as we hear Roxy saying, "Cassie?" after the credits, which is a clear cliffhanger meaning the ending is probably canon, and Cassie is not 'dead.

How Many Endings Are In FNAF Security Breach Ruin?

FNAF Security Breach Ruin has 3 endings. The endings are named Neutral Ending, Brazil Ending, and Scooper Ending.

In the Neutral Ending (fans also describe this as the normal or elevator ending), Cassie enters an elevator to escape from the Mimic who's chasing her.

There, Gregory explains she shouldn't have entered the Pizzaplex and that the thing in the sinkhole tricked her. He tells her he can't let her escape and cuts the elevator's line.

The elevator falls. Cut to 'black. There is no further information other than Roxy calling out Cassie, mostly hinting that she's likely alive.

Brazil Ending (also known as Fazbear Ending) is the secret ending you get with the Vanny mask. You get the cheerful scene with Vanessa, Gregory, and a Fazbear plush enjoying ice cream.

Gregory says, "Cassie! I'm ok. I found a spot to hide." Fans interpret the scene as Glitchtrap infecting Cassie with the virus. This ending is in the style of the original game's ending.

In the Scooper ending, Cassie runs towards the Scooper's room and shuts the door before the Mimic enters. Soon, the mimic attacks the window, wearing a white tiger costume, and is scooped by the machine.

The game ends without any additional exposition.

How To Get All Endings?

If you are wondering how to obtain the three endings in Ruin, here's a little guide:

  • You obtain the Neutral Ending by following Gregory's instructions on the radio.
  • You get the Fazbear Ending by putting on the Vanny mask when Gregory says right, followed by hurry, where you see green arrows on the ground pointing forward, turn left towards the red entrance, and place the mask on.
  • If you follow the green arrows on the ground and continue left, you will unlock the Scooper Ending. This ending is achieved by completing various mini-games throughout the game.
