NFL linebacker Fred Warner was born to parents, mother Laura Warner, and father Fred Warner, in the USA. 

Fred Warner's mom, Laura Warner raised him and his siblings as a single mother after the separation of his parents when he was a toddler.

He has two siblings. Mya Warner is his sister, and he has a brother called Troy Warner. Tony is also an American football player.

Fred's parents are American citizens. He has stated his mother is the greatest supporter and has always been there for him and his siblings. Many of his fans have speculated that he has a partly Mexican ethnicity with certain ties to family in Mexico. But that is incorrect as he actually is some parts Panamanian from his father's side. 

Warner considers his mother, Laura, to be the most influential person in his life. He recalls his mother raising him and his siblings on her own, despite making sacrifices along the way.

Laura instilled in all of them the value of hard work, Warner added. Laura was by Fred's side on draft day when the 49ers selected him in the third round. Fred said that she was right next to him and she was the first to receive a hug.

Laura Warner raised her children as a single mother, as she was the sole breadwinner in her family. Fred recalls that as a tough time for his entire family. This is also the reason why he respects and loves his mother so much. 

Fred learned qualities like perseverance, respect, and dedication from his mother while growing up in a small family.

Early Life and Childhood

Fred Warner's favorite team growing up was Dallas Cowboys as his interest in football had a seed from a young age.

He attended Mission Hills High School, where he continued his interest and joined the football team soon enough. It wasn't long before he became a star footballer in his school.

As a young child, Fred believed in faith and was a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There he met a lot of people who connected and resonated with him.

Fred later went to Brigham Young University (BYU) where he got his Bachelor's degree in exercise and wellness in 2018. He played college football at BYU and was later drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the draft. 

One of the most important influences in his life regarding football is a ward at BYU. While he was talking to the ward, he shared his interest in sports which led the ward to recommend him to the coaches. Fred was immediately selected after trial, and the rest is history.

Fred Warner is a Latino and not a Mexican. His dad Fred Warner Sr. was from Panama and was a Panamanian. He was, however, born in the USA.

Fred is considered one of the best Latino players playing in the NFL today. He is a key player in 49ers as a linebacker with over 100 combined tackles in a season in the past two seasons. 

In 2020, he had the most tackles from his team with a defensive touchdown. He went on to win the coveted NFC Defensive Player of the Month for November.

Even though Fred couldn't spend much time with his father, he does take pride in his Latino ethnicity as one of the most successful players in the game.

Federico Anthony Warner, the oldest of two sons and one daughter, was born on November 19, 1996, in San Marcos, California, to Laura and Fred Warner.
