Colonel Daniel "Dan" Moy served in the United States Air Force for 27 years, specializing in both national and international security operations, strategic partnerships, and military procurement, planning, and budgeting.

Dan wants to promote liberty in Washington, DC, after directing troops and defending our country in the armed forces in Afghanistan to safeguard liberty.

Colonel Dan served as Division Chief and Deputy Director for the Assistant Secretary of Defense's Information Dominance Directorate in the Pentagon from 2012 until 2016.

Dan is married to Kellie, and they live in Charlottesville, Virginia, with their two sons, Caleb and Titus.

Dan's principles are shaped by the richness of his childhood, the lessons of his spiritual journey, and the grace that has brought him to lead with resolution and conviction throughout his military career.

Moy graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a doctorate in history. Dan also teaches at the University of Virginia's Batten School of Public Policy as an Adjunct Professor.

Robert George Good is the competitor of Dan Moy in the primary election. Robert is a politician in the United States who represents Virginia's 5th congressional district.

From 2016 to 2019, Good served on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors. He is a Republican Party supporter.

Good worked at Citi Financial for 17 years. Dan was an associate athletic director for development at Liberty University before declaring his congressional campaign in 2019. In an interview with CBS 19 in Charlottesville, Moy claims that Good has gone too far to the right.
