The professional tennis player Ugo Humbert was born on June 26, 1998, in Metz, France. His father, Eric Humbert, and mother, Anne Humbert, were the biggest support system for his passion from very early on in life. 

His parents are butchers and caterers, and they run a popular store in their hometown itself. Not only his mom and dad but him and his sisters also work in the store, and they have been in the family business for a very long time.

The first of Humbert's three ATP victories came in Auckland in January 2020 when he defeated fellow Frenchman Benoit Paire in three sets. In October 2020, he defeated fellow Next Generation ATP Finals participant Alex De Minaur to win his second ATP championship in Antwerp. In June 2021, in Halle, he defeated world No. 7 Andrey Rublev to win his third title and first ATP 500.

Humbert qualified for the US Open in 2018 and went on to win his first Grand Slam singles match. Collin Altamirano, a fellow qualifier, was defeated to win his first match in the main draw. Stan Wawrinka eventually beat him in the second round in four sets.
