The tours, according to the Gaineses, will give Fixer Upper fans a glimpse at every room in the castle and will concentrate on Joanna's approach to creating the property. They started the initiative reminded them of the potential of beauty in unexpected places.

Who Are The Hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines?

Chip and Joanna Gaines, the presenters of HGTV's Fixer Upper, have been flipping, remodeling, and patching up houses as the owners of Magnolia Homes in Waco, Texas, for the past 12 years.

They have collaborated on over 100 houses, combining Chip's keen sense of real estate and Joanna's distinct eye for design.

Chip and Joanna are enthusiastic about guiding their clients through every step of the building and design process and assisting them in making their ideas a reality.

The Gaines have been in Waco for almost a decade. They like collaborating with the same aim in mind: to beautify Waco and other Texas neighborhoods one project at a time.

The Cottonland Castle property was bought by the Magnolia co-founders in 2019. Chip had his eye on the property for a long time before they eventually acquired it, Joanna said in the 2019 winter edition of Magnolia Journal.

Joanna admitted at the time that the project was "unlike any other, we'd ever handled." The author of The Stories We Tell wrote that while they had "no idea what" it would become, "what Chip did know all along, deep in his bones, and what I have learned to see too, is this: If you look past the cracks in the masonry, past the rotted floorboards, past the wilderness taking over the backyard, there is a lot of beauty to be found in this old castle."

If you can't get to Waco to view Chip and Joanna's home in person, you can still watch the old castle's refurbishment this autumn. The Fixer Upper: The Castle premieres on Magnolia Network, HBO Max, and Discovery+ on Friday, October 14 at 9 p.m. ET.

The Fixer Upper Castle Renovation, Is It sold?

According to a Magnolia spokesman, the Fixer Upper Castle will eventually be offered for purchase. According to the website, tour guests will be able to view the home set just as it will appear on the program this autumn.

The three-story, 6,700-square-foot castle at 3300 Austin Ave. became known as the Cottonland Castle in Waco. Construction began in 1890 and was finished in 1913, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald.
