As of now, there are no reports of Shirley Barrett being ill, as her illness was cured a long time ago.  

For now, she is a healthy woman with not much of health problems, as she has kept herself fit and in check for years now. 

She is a healthy woman who has been working on her novels and has won several awards. 

But once she was seriously ill with terminal cancer, which even lead her to a near-death experience. 

About her experience with terminal cancer, she decides to share her side of the story. 

In March 2022, she decided to write a stoically about her battle with cancer. 

She has talked about her story with The Guardians and has explained her thoughts and feeling at the time. 

She has said a lot of things, like having cancer means having a demanding casual job. 

The dairy fills with medical appointments which mysteriously gives you a sense of purpose, according to Shirley. 

Shirley a screenwriter, film director, and novelist, has established her career, and after having cancer she has a new way of thinking.

Shirley Barrett's cancer diagnosis was a secret until 2018, and her health condition in 2022 is much improved. 

She didn't want to be pitied or be "one of those individuals who is always talking about illness," she says.

Barrett's fantasy became reality in 2017 when she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.

Many persons with this fatal malignancy are given only 5 years to survive.

She endured chemotherapy while editing the manuscript – "I just carried on as usual except bald" – and is still on cancer-fighting medicine.

Barrett believes the strain is exhausting for Eleanor, who feels compelled to "make the most of it" after overcoming cancer.

Following her diagnosis, the mother of two traveled to Western Australia to go whale shark snorkeling.

The 61-year-old was originally hesitant to discuss his cancer diagnosis in public.

But as of now in 2022, she is fully recovered from terminal cancer and is living a blissful life with her husband Chris Norris, and her two daughters.

Her experience is shared by The Guardian several times, and many of them found it very helpful to deal with their deal of being with cancer.
