The virus spread like a fire in a hash in her body which set off a condition called post-viral syndrome or Illness. Due to her serious medical condition, doctors ordered her to come back to NSW for further treatment.

Unfortunately, the virus quickly deteriorated during her stay in South Africa. She was hopeless and on bed rest for 14 months with a series of unwanted migraine.

She was feeling weak due to constantly fighting her Illness. On top of that, the surfer could not cope with the sunlight and used to feel irritated by the loud noises.
