Tram’s journey from Vietnam to California
Tram is originally native of Saigon that lies in Vietnam. She was born in 5th Febraury, 1974. She was only 1 year old, when her family decided to shift from Saigon to some other place as Communists were about to undertake the nation. The family stayed at refugee camp of Florida named ‘Eglin Air Force Base’. This is the place where Tram Mai took her first foot steps. After that, her family went to Southern Florida where she spent her childhood days.
Tram got graduated from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). She did majors in Communication and completed her minors in Asian American Studies.

44 years old Mai is married to Steve Kraus. The couple have twin babies, Zakary and Zoey born on March, 2014. She is animal lover and have got two retrievers named Pressley Ann and Napa Bella. The family loves to spent most of their time at home loving nature and having new foods.

From the last 16 years, Mai is serving KPNX 12 News happily as News Anchor, Reporter and Host. Talking about her line of work, she was firstly hired as a Production assistant by KABC in LA in the year 1995. This was her first job that lighten up her career path. Then she joined WOFL-TV , Gainesville, Florida Area in January 1998 in the position of News Reporter and worked only for a year. After working for a year as a news reporter she got to work with Central Florida News 13. Promoting her career, she then joined WSYX-WTTE TV On November 1999 working in the post of Weekend News Anchor and Reporter.
Mai is continuing her job in KPNX 12 news TV as an News anchor, host and reporter from January 2003 . It has become around 16 years and 2 months in KPNX 12 News and she feels it like her second home to work with 12 News.
Mai has been working since 1995 so it can be concluded that she is earning much more. Her net-worth is reported to be around $150k to $170k.

She loves to spent her extra time with her babies and her husband Steve. So, she began hosting for a Lifestyle Show and also is the co-founder of ‘Press Coffee’. She craves for food, mostly the Italian one. This made her to talk about food and lifestyle in her Lifestyle show “Valley Dish”. She loves to read Cook Books and post related to food during her free time. She keeps on tweeting about her new dishes and how much she is enjoying nature with her family.

Mai has reported many natural disaster stories from ‘Tornadoes in Ohio’, ‘Hurricanes in Florida’ and ‘Wildfires in Arizona’ and many more.
