Jose and his wife grew their family from two to five in nearly a decade of marriage.

The Thoroughbred horse racer and his wife have three children.

Jose became a father for the first time in June 2017 with the birth of his daughter Leilani Ortiz.

Derek Ortiz, Jose's second child, was born in December 2018. He announced in May 2021 that they were expecting their third child, Niko Ortiz.
