Shantel Vansanten aka Nina Chase Is Leaving The FBI Cast and Here Is Why

Nina Chase on FBI announces that she is leaving the team to go work in the white-collar section in order to clear her thoughts.

In the latest episode, Nina Chase (played by Shantel) went to the doctor. Special Agent Stuart Scola (John Boyd) learned about it through partner Omar Adom "OA" Zidan, but Nina does not admit she is pregnant until later.

And undoubtedly, Scola is the father, but Nina is confused about what she will do since she declares she is quitting the team and going to work in the white-collar section to clear her thoughts. Nina tells Scola she needs some time alone and kisses him goodbye.

Executive producer Rick Eid tells TV Insider that they did not want to kill her character as she had been a fantastic addition to the team. In addition, it gives Scola's character another dimension. 

Likewise, the producer also said that her character might be leaving the team, but she is still an FBI agent, and her relationship with Scola will continue in some capacity. He also promised that viewers would see Nina again soon. 

Nina had taken over as OA's temporary partner when he was devastated at the thought of losing Maggie, who had inhaled a toxic dose of deadly sarin gas in the last season. That part covered up for actress Missy Peregrym's maternity leave. 

Now, she is set to return in the new season, which made people wonder where Nina will be going. Maggie will return from medical leave and help the team investigate two homicides. Some fans are ecstatic to hear about her return. 

However, some viewers think that Shantel may leave the show, but the producer has said that she may not be seen in the episodes for some time. Instead, they plan on linking her to the storyline in an interesting way. 

She will be joining another unit for now, but viewers may see her again in the upcoming episodes, but it may not be as often as they do now. She will probably have a recurring role as the season progresses with new episodes. 

The actress has not addressed the rumors of her leaving the show. But she had posted a picture from the series while asking her fans to be ready for an emotional roller coaster ride in the latest episode.
