In Episode 2, the four teams were asked to renovate the living rooms of their identical homes in Berthlad, Colorado.

Glew and his partner decided to renovate the living area by including a statement fireplace and library.

Later, when Turner was out to check on the full bathroom, she was surprised after learning they would be completing a half-bathroom. Mitch told, "We just couldn't do the shower. We're out of time."

At the end of week two, Mina Starsiak Hawk from Good Bones and Jenn Todryk from No Demo Reno evaluated the living rooms.

In the end, Mitch and Page's decision to complete a half-bathroom paid off, as the judges loved their indoor library, cozy fireplace, and half-bathroom and crowned them as the winners.

However, many viewers were displeased with the pair's indoor library. The topic even sparked discussions on social media platforms.

One Twitter user wrote, "Disagreed with the Rock the Block winner this week... was not a fan of the floor to ceiling shelves of backward books."

Another user said he is an avid reader and appreciates the library but not in his living room.

He further added, "great idea bad location?" Page even replied to the tweet and said, "This is a competition so space is limited."

Rock The Block Season 4 Episode 2 Recap

Rock the Block Season 4 Episode 2 "Living Room Face-Off" saw the four teams renovate their living rooms and entryways.

All teams laid out their ultimate plans for their living room and entryway with their limited budget. But certain things didn't go as planned, leading the designers to make immediate changes.

As time was running out, Mitch and Page opted to complete a half-bathroom though they had planned for a full bathroom. They did not have much time to go as planned and add a full bath.

Michael and Anthony also made a slight change in their bathroom because they ran out of wallpaper before they were able to apply it to the ceiling.

Jonathan and Kristina's plan included a fireplace covered in brick. But as they started tiling the brick, they discovered it was a dark brown. So, they painted the brick to make sure it matched the rest of the rooms.

The Judges, Mina and Jenn, liked Bryan and his partner's statement stone wall but felt the two-sided fireplace blocked some of the Rocky Mountain views that would add value to the house.

The judges were not the biggest fan of team Jonathan's choice to paint the brick but commended the wireless speaker system, which they added with their extra $1000 from winning the previous challenge.

Mina and Jenn loved Michael and Anthony's luxurious design, which included a bigger powder room than other competitors. Yet the judges worried that the team was limiting their buyer pool.

In the end, they were stunned by team Page's indoor library, half-bathroom, and fireplace, and they chose the duo as the winners of the week's challenge.

The pair amassed an extra $2,000 for their upcoming challenges.
