Animal Planet's Pitbulls and Parolees Is Back - Where Is It Located Now?

Pitbulls and Parolees is located in New Orleans at the Villalobos Rescue Centre. The center has been relocated from California.
The Animal Planet reality television show, which features a rescue center for pit bulls, started airing in 2009. Unfortunately, it was announced on October 2022 that it would end with Season 19, as per Tv Insider.
The season ended with the last episode, named The Story of Villalobos, where Tia looked back on the rescue's incredible history and shared a glimpse of its next chapter.
Pitbulls and Parolees Location
Pitbull and Parolees feature the day-to-day operation at the Villalobos Rescue Center (VRC) in New Orleans.
The rescue center was initially operated in California, but they had to move out of the state in 2011 as the rules and regulations became strict, making it expensive to keep the center running.
Moreover, Tia had lost all of her funds for the Tehachapi project. It was the place where she initially planned to relocate before deciding to leave California. However, they could not shift their as they did not receive permission from Kern County.

As a result, they relocated to Louisiana and set up their new home in New Orleans. Likewise, in 2021, Athens, Texas, became a new home to Villalobos Rescue Centre. Texas is an extension of their operation located in Louisiana. The difference between the two sanctuaries is the animals. Villalobos in Texas takes care of wolf dogs.
The property owner had killed himself, which caused the dogs to be left unattended for several days, writes Kltv. As a result, Tia and her team stepped up to help with the backyard breeding situation. At that time, they expanded their services to Texas as well.
Why Did Pitbulls and Parolees Leave California?
Pitbulls and Parolles had to leave California after 18 years of operation because the rules and regulations for running a kennel business in L.A. County changed and became more strict and more expensive.
While they had planned to move to a small town called Tehachapi, California, from Agua Dulce, VRC had received all the permits, but Kern County refused to provide permission for the rescue to operate in the isolated location of Old West Ranch, Tehachapi.
Although they could not relocate, they had planned to ask their loyal employee, Mando, and his family to shift there and look after the sanctuary. However, luck was not in their favor as a small plane crashed in front of the house/property in Tehachapi and burst into flames, as mentioned in their website.

It was the second fire that had caught on the property. Their kennel building turned into dust within some time. Thankfully, there were no dogs, and everyone was safe.
But, it caused Tia Maria Torres and the VRC to stay at the Agua Dulce location until they could find another place. And after suffering financially and losing all of her personal funds for the Tehachapi project, VRC decided to leave California and shift to New Orleans, Louisiana.
It took them one year to completely move to a new state and set it as their permanent home.
