Parveen Kaur Husband Reza Dahya Is A Film Director

Parveen Kaur husband Reza Dahya is a co-host and producer of OTA Live in FLOW 93.5FM in Toronto. They have been together for at least 10 years.

OTA Live was the destination spot for exciting weekly interviews with Toronto's underrepresented hip-hop community with hosts Dahya and Ty Harper.

"For us, the heart (of the radio) is the connection with the community and we worked hard to keep that connection strong," Dahya told to Vice.

People who know him from the radio would know how he always had a love for film and storytelling. "Film felt like the most natural progression for me," says Reza Dahya in his bio.

He transitioned into filmmaking in 2011 with his short film ESHA, starring Albina Nahar, Khalid Karim, and Jen Pogue. His next short film, The Mark, arrived the following year.

Crowd-funded short drama, Five Dollars premiered at the TIFF Kids International Film Festival in 2023. It was screened internationally and aired on CBC's Canadian Reflections.

He completed his 2015 CFC short film, Chameleon, with writer Chris Cromie and producer Josh Ary.

Reza's other notable directing credits include Tuesdays and Thursdays (2018), Samanthology (2019), and Theodore (2020). 

He completed the Cineplex Entertainment Film Program Director's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre in 2014. 

Parveen and Reza have been together for at least 10 years, as evidenced by their Instagram post. The pair love to travel together and share their beautiful pictures on IG.

Reza's first Instagram post

The director's first Instagram post dates back to March 24, 2013. The post features a cup with his name written on it and a lipstick mark.

He tagged the post to Kaur and wrote, "Sweets from my sweet." The post makes it clear that the two have known each other for more than 10 years, marking a long-time relationship.

Their 2016 trip to San Francisco

Kaur and Dahya had a wonderful time on their trip to San Francisco in 2016. They visited Balmy Alley, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, and many other beautiful places in the city.

They also enjoyed their evening on the beach with their cute dog Brixton.

"@missparveen prettier than the view!" wrote the director while sharing a picture of his spouse with the stunning Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

Earlier that month the pair visited Red Woods National Park with their dog.

Dahya learned about portraits in quarantine

Besides filmmaking, editing, and directing, Reza has a great passion for photography. His Instagram posts certainly reflect his impressive skills in this art form.

During quarantine season, he dedicated his time to learning portraits.

Sharing some portrait pictures of his better half on IG, the director wrote, "I'm learning portraits this quarantine season. @yopraveen making it look easy as per usual."

Their trip to Zion National Park

In May 2021, the director shared several pictures of their great adventure to Zion National Park. They followed a hiking trail to the mouth of The Narrows.

The national park is located in southwestern Utah near the town of Springdale. It has a variety of life zones and unique geography that allow for unusual plant and animal diversity.

Zion National Park includes canyons, mesas, monoliths, slot canyons, mountains, buttles, natural arches, and rivers.

There is no denying that Dahya is the greatest supporter of his beloved wife. He regularly promotes her work via social platforms and doesn't hesitate to show his appreciation.

"When your wife is trending in the U.S.," Reza wrote, highlighting the popularity of Manifest, in which Kaur starred as Saanvi.

"Trending in Indonesia too....," a fan commented. "Your wife is so damn good in Manifest. We are a fan," another added.

Parveen joined the cast of Manifest in 2018. Her character, Saanvi, is a doctor and medical researcher at Koch Hospital. She is also a passenger on Flight 828.

The doctor is then recruited to work for the NSA's Project Eureka task force investigating 828.

Dahya first made a shout-out to his partner on May 18, 2018. He also marked that there were three Canadians in the supernatural drama -Roxburgh, Karkanis, and Kaur.

The pair have worked on several projects together, including Chameleon. Dahya directed while Parveen starred in the short drama alongside Jim Watson, Supinder Wraich, and Marie Dame.
