Oliver Steele American Idol Father Toby Steele Is A Musician

Oliver Steele father Toby Steele is a blues guitarist and one of the inspirations for his son to start his career in music. Toby is a retired musician.

As an inspiration to his son for music, Toby himself is also very good with music. Toby came from Tennessee and had gone to Michigan for work.

After the birth of his son Oliver, he along with his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

Toby Steele completed high school at Mt. Juliet High School. As he was a free-spirited person, after graduating from high school he joined the Univesity of Life where he went to the School of Hard Knocks.

In his younger days, he was very much into music and had gone to many places to play music. Toby was is a blues guitarist, and he was mentored by the Texas Troubadours in his younger days. 

Along with that, he also began to work with Texas Troubadours. He also spent years working as a musician with and meeting with Chet Atkins.

He was given the opportunity to open for B.B. King. 

Currently, he is staying at his daughter's house and doesn't play much music. He was diagnosed with a stroke which led him to give up his musical dreams.

Oliver Steele American Idol performance was a such marvel that the judges all praised him for his performance. There is no doubt that Oliver is a great singer. 

This was not the first time the Tennessee star sang on American Idol. In fact, this was the fifth time that he came for the audition.

But unlike his previous auditions, where he went himself, this time he was called for the audition by American Idol. 

The singer was the last performer to sing for the audition round and had sung In My Life by The Beatles in front of the judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

The judges were very impressed by his voice and all the scales he pulled up. 

When the judges asked him to talk about himself, his talked about his dad. Judges let him call his father and he was very emotional. His old man was also proud of him to be on that stage. 

On the stage, the judges asked him to sing another song as an encore for his father and Oliver choose to perform Change The World by Eric Clapton.

The performance had such emotions in the lyrics and the way he sang, the judges were very moved by it. 

Lionel was emotional as he moved a bit behind to pull himself up while Katy Perry was in tears seeing such a beautiful and emotional moment. 

As the judges were already standing on their feet, Luke stood on the table to show respect for his emotion for his dad in the song. 

And Toby was given the honor of pulling the golden ticket out for his son. 

Oliver Steele has three siblings in his family aside from his father. His father seemed to be already divorced from his mother. 

Toby has three children other than Oliver in his family. He has two other daughters and a son. The son's name is Jackson Steele and the two daughters' names are Savannah Steele and Chasity Steele. 

Not much is known about all of them but all of the siblings have completed their graduation from Mount Juliet High School. Aside from Oliver and Savannah, others have moved to Michigan for work and studies. 

Currently, Savannah Steele is engaged to her husband Bryan Powers and the couple had been in the relationship since April 18, 2021. The couple has three children and all of her children are boys. 

There is not much information about Jackson and Chasity on their social media and are a bit private about their personal life. saidOliver told that both his sister and brother are living in Michigan.
