Nate Appleman and Wife Rachel Galimidi Raise Awareness on Kawasaki Disease

Nate Appleman wife Rachel Galimidi has a PhD in philosophy. She is an experienced manager and scientist in biotech firms.

With her strong research amd extensive knowledge of immunotherapy and antibody engineering, she has done a lot of research on diseases and their medicines according to her LinkedIn profile.

While serving as the scientific leader she helped a start-up in the Bay Area secure over $100M over several fundraising rounds.

She has a bachelor's in human biology from the University of Kansas and her Ph.D. from Caltech.

The couple recently gave birth to a beautiful son Poppy James Appleman in 2022.

Nate Was Previously Married To Clarisse

He was previously married to Clarisee who is an Integrative Nutritionist and a Health Coach.

She studied nutrition and wellness coaching at the institute for integrative nutrition according to her Facebook profile.

She celebrates her birthday on October 19. She in her post asked for donations to Kawasaki Disease Foundation on her birthday.

Nate and Clarice gave birth to their first child Oliver and have mutual respect for one another.

Nate Appleman children Oliver Appleman and Poppy James Appleman are a teenager and a toddler respectively.

The elder of the two, Oli is studying at Point Loma High School where he enjoys playing football for the school's under-16 team.

He also plays for the Albion soccer team with the number 8 jersey.

Oli was only 2 years old when he was diasgnosed with Kawasaki disease. It is a condition that results in inflammation of the blood vessels in the body. 

He was thankfully given a diagnosis of Kawasaki disease and started therapy right away with a dosage of antibodies made from a single plasma donation. 

Three years after his diagnosis and treatment, Appleman participated in and won Food Network's Chopped All-Stars. He then gave the Kawasaki Disease Foundation all $50,000 of his winnings.

His younger son Poppy James Appleman was born on August 2021. He is just 2 years old.

The family loves spending time with each other. They have become quite close following the birth of their younger child.

Nate Appleman is the executive chef and co-owner of A16 restaurant. The place was awarded three and a half stars for food quality.

He also opened Pulino's Bar and Pizza in New York City which was well-liked. As he moved there to run the business, he continued to use seasonal ingredients, locally sourced ingredients, and sustainable ranching, farming, and fishing as inspiration..

Later, Steve Ells, the founder of Chipotle, approached him and hired him as the director of the culinary innovation department of the team. 

He is one of the few American pizzaiolos to hold a Verace Pizza Napoletana Association certification.

He is also a Chef and Consultant for his own company the Appleman Projects which he established in 2020.

Before starting his own venture, he worked as an executive chef at the Charlie Palmer collective according to his LinkedIn Profile.
