Carlsson started the Blue Jackets' 2018-19 season against the Detroit Red Wings on October 4 but was reassigned back to Cleveland after scoring 12 points (two goals, ten assists) in 67 regular-season games and three assists in eight postseason games.

He went pointless in six games with Columbus in 2019-20, but in 41 games with Cleveland, he had 12 points (two goals, ten assists).

Gabriel Carlsson Parents Ethnicity Explored

The ethnicity of Gabriel's parents remains unknown. However, he was born in Orebro, Sweden.

Carlsson began his career with rebro HK's youth system before joining Linköpings HC's youth system in 2013. During the 2014–15 Swedish Hockey League season, he made his SHL debut with Linköping's men's team.

After competing in ten post-season games, Carlsson was signed to a two-year contract extension with Linköping on April 17, 2015

In the 2015–16 SHL season, he made 45 games, scoring one goal and adding eight assists. Carlsson also played in six postseason games for Linköping during that season.
