Max Fried identifies as Jewish and is a devotee of the religion Judaism.  He had his bar mitzvah, and his family attended synagogue during the High Holidays.

The lefty, who is considered the Braves' 10th best prospect, was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. He participated in baseball for the US at the Maccabiah Games in Israel in 2009 at the age of 14. 

To pay homage to fellow Jewish left-handed pitcher and Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax, he started donning No. 32 in high school.

Max Fried is of the white ethnicity, one of the five ethnic groups recognized by the US Census. The young baseball player holds American nationality. 

In 2022, Fried was selected to make his second consecutive Opening Day appearance. His pay for the 2022 campaign was arbitrarily determined to be $6.85 million.

Fried started for the Braves on April 1, 2021. On August 20, 2021, Maddux faced the Baltimore Orioles and recorded the first complete game shutout of his career.

Max Fried was born to a Jewish family on January 18, 1994, in Santa Monica, California. Not much is known about his parents, Carrie and Jonathan Fried. 

Jake, his younger brother, is a pitcher who attended the University of Arizona to further his education.

A baseball, football, and basketball player, Fried originally attended Montclair College Preparatory School in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. He was 10-3 with a 1.81 earned run average as a sophomore while working with Ethan Katz as his pitching coach.

Furthermore, he was selected as the Olympic League MVP and to the All-California Interscholastic Federation Division V first team.
