Luckless In Love cast Paniz Zade and Brett Donahue are the leads. Steffi Didomenicatonio, Maria Ricossa, and Jennifer Gibson are the supporting casts.

Paniz Zade As Winnie Rhodes

Zade plays the character of the writer Winnie Rhodes. Her character is a blogger who writes about the anonymous dating life.

However, she does not receive recognization from people as her dating life is a disaster.

She leads a hard time operating in the company, and even her boss asks her to write about facial oils. Through her friend's advice, she meets Holden on a dating app.

After writing about her imperfect date, her blog becomes viral, and she receives an acknowledgment from her boss.

To maintain the offer of her column, she keeps dating him. At last, she falls in love with him.

Brett Donahue As Holden Fulls

He stars as Holden, an Asian sports agent who represents few-all stars. He often visits the coffee shop where Winnie's friend notices him.

When his boss asks him to be in a serious relationship to show his commitment to the company, he starts dating Winnie.

His first date turns out imperfect, as his ex-girlfriend turned up there. Even he doesn't recognize her.

As he receives another offer for the date. They enjoy arts, crafts, and painting together. Also, he trains Winnie in baseball.

He finds out about her blog. So, their relationship takes a different turn. 

Steffi DiDomenicantonio As Kyra

DiDomenicantonio plays the role of Kyra. Her character is a friend and roommate of Winnie. 

While discussing Winnie's mother, Kyra could not take her eye off Holden.

She even appears as the advisor for her friend. She details the writer's catastrophic dating life and advises that she should find the perfect love for her life. 

Besides this, the Montreal-born artist played in the TV series Accused as Nadine this year. She even starred in the upcoming movie The Spark as Nancy. 

Jennifer Gibson As Inga

She portrayed the role of the boss of Winnie's blogging company. At first, she gives tough time to the main character after she can't develop the perfect blog for their column.

The Suits star made her first debut in the TV movie A Masculine Ending in 1992. The actress worked in Diaspora and Scentsational Christmas recently. 

Maria Ricossa As Evette

Ricossa joined the show as Winnie's mother, Evette. She does not like her daughter writing about dating life. She even called her daughter a spinster. 

The Warehouse 13 star began her career in a small role in 1983. She received the spotlight after she emerged in the 2003 movie The In-laws. 

Recently, she worked in Love and the Radio Star and Cabin Connection.

Luckless in Love was filmed in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The filming locations include the Gage Park and Hamilton Studio.

Hamilton is considered a busy place for shooting because of its captivating scenario. It provided the allocated resources for the filming crew.

The movie shooting began at the end of March, and they wrapped up in April. Balsam Avenue, a townhouse building, and Olympia Club are some additional locations used for the shooting.

It also used the area around St.Peter's Hospital and James Street North. The show featured The King William Street restaurant parts.

The show was first named Luck Strikes in Winter for the holiday spirit, but they changed it to Luckless in Love. 

Luckless in Love premieres on January 12, 2023, in USA. The film is available on UPTv, and you can watch it online on DirectTV Stream, Philo, and Frndly.

Trailer Breakdown

The trailer starts with a discussion between the mother and daughter. The mother feels revolted after finding out that she was writing about dating.

Afterward, she consults her mom's feelings about her with her friend. Meanwhile, her friend noticed Holden.

However, her boss gives her a hard time and advises her to write about facial oils.

Even her friend suggests her dating life is a disaster and she should find the perfect mush guy. She then finds Holden on a dating app.

The movie then introduces the Asian sports agent. After their date, the character writes a block about their dating, which becomes viral.

As a result, her boss expresses her dating life was cathartic. So she has to date him more to write about him.

They both develop feelings for each other. After learning they both used each other for their work, it creates a gap between the couple.
