Jose Garces Impressive Weight Loss Thanks To His Self Curated Healthy Diet

Jose Garces weight loss is the result of his healthy diet. Jose lost significant weight through his self made healthy recipes.

The American chef is the owner of  Livy's Plant-Based Foods, which is a vegan restaurant in Philidelphia. 

He named his new eatery after his daughter, Olivia, whose veganism inspired him to launch a plant-based menu.

Garces participated in the second season of The Next Iron Chef and won the show. He was also a challenger on Iron Chef America and defeated Bobby Flay on a 2008 episode.

He,along with his team of hospitality manage four restaurants in Atlantic City, New Jersey, at the Ocean Casino and Resort.


Jose Garces Weight Loss Is Achievable

Jose Garces has lost almost 5 pounds of his weight after he started consuming healthy recipes. Jose now prefers to live a healthy lifestyle. 

His daughter's plant-based diet and recipe have helped him lose weight. The recipe has also influenced his cooking style and led him to fuse his decades of culinary experience with plant-forward meals.

Analyzing his picture from the old days, he has lost a decent amount of weight over many years. The main reason for a healthy body is that he combined healthy recipes into his daily meals.

Food has brought Chef Garces all over the world, and through his vast and rich experiences with cuisine, he’s built an extensive repertoire of unique recipes. 

Those recipes for infusing delicious food with a healthy twist have helped him, and many of his fans lose fat.

His weight loss has also been associated with the stress resulting from the closing of this three restaurants. Out of his sisteen restaurants, three had to file for bankruptcy.

Jose Has Created An Array Of Healthy Recipes

Jose is a celebrity chef and has owned various restaurants in different parts of America, His recipes are loved by people all around.

He got into cooking from his family as they used to cook delicious meals every now and then.

He now has created a healthier version of all those dishes which can be enjoyed in his restaurants.

Slow Roasted Pork

When it comes to roasted pork people think it's unhealthy because it contains a lot of fat in it. The ingredients necessary for the healthy formula for this food are:

  • 6 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 4 lbs. boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons ground mace
  • 4 tablespoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Spanish paprika

To make a rub for the pork he combines a little bit of sugar, mustard, and 4 teaspoons of salt. The mixture is then spread all over the pork and is kept to marinate for six hours.

When the time is right to roast, preheat the oven to 325 degrees and place it in the center of the oven.

Pork should be rinsed before roasting which makes it lose some fat. In a roasting pan, combine the remaining ingredients and place the pork.

The pan should be covered with aluminum foil and cooked until the internal temperature reaches 175 degrees and then the delicious Chef Grace's style pork will be ready.

Mom Garces' Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lbs. of Yukon gold potatoes
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 oz. of butter
  • 1/4 chopped scallions both green
  • Salt

Pare the potatoes, cut them into two-inch chunks, and boil them for 15 to 20 minutes in salted water.

If you don't have a ricer, you can use a masher. The remaining ingredients should be simmered in a pot.

Fold the potatoes into the mixture after mixing and adding some green vegetables will surely make the healthy diet fans happy with this recipe.

Serrano Ham Wrapped Figs

  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice berries
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
  • 16 dried figs
  • 2 oz. paper thin sliced Serrano ham 
  • 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar

The most delicious of them all, Ham Wrapped Figs is his signature dish.

The prepared figs are placed in a bowl and covered with a boiling mixture of water, wine, and all of the spices.

Let the mixture remain at room temperature for an hour. Figs should be drained before being stemmed, wrapped with ham, and drizzled with sherry vinegar.

Jose Garces On Tournaments Of Champions

Jose's leaner physique caught the attention of viewers during his latest appearance on Food Network's Tournaments of Champions.

Previously, he was a part of the Iron Chef Showdown in 2018 where he battled against other chefs like Bobby Flay, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Michael Symon.

Graces and Michael Symon competed in the Iron Chef America Tournament of Champions final round in Kitchen Stadium.

He also had a guest appearance in Burgers, Brew, and Que where he went on a road trip to taste the best of the American classic burgers.

In the show Chopped, he battled with Michael Symon, Cat Cora, and Marc Forgione to win a grand prize of $50000.

While his appearance on Tv was admired by his fans, he has also been praised as an executive chef at Chicago's Catalan restaurant Mercat a la Planxa.

The restaurant is named the Esquire magazine's top 20 restaurants.
