Learn About Gregory DePietro's Titusville Shooting Tragedy
Gregory DePietro and Haley Friedel, two local citizens, were shot and killed at around 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, according to Titusville Police. Officers responded to a report of gunshots fired at a residence in the 4000 block of Lakeview Hills Avenue and secured the area.

Officers discovered Haley Friedel, 24, of Titusville, inside a car with apparent fatal gunshot wounds in the driveway. Gregory DePietro, 32, of Titusville, was found with an apparent gunshot wound beside the car in the home's yard. DePietro was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead just after 10:15 a.m.
What Did Gregory DePietro Do To Haley Friedel?
According to the preliminary inquiry, Gregory DePietro came to Haley Friedel's house, parked his car exactly behind hers, and approached the driver's side of her locked car.
Gregory then fired numerous rounds through the driver's side window, striking Friedel many times, according to the police department, before turning the pistol on himself and firing.
Seminole County Fire Department Chief Matt Kinley declined to comment on the probe, saying, this is a heartbreaking and devastating loss for the families of Haley Friedel and Greg DePietro. During this sad time, all of the men and women of their Fire Department grieve the loss of these two individuals.
Gregory DePietro's Motive Behind Murder-Suicide
According to current sources, the Titusville Shooting Tragedy is still being investigated, therefore the motivation for Gregory's murder-suicide has yet to be uncovered.
Regardless, DePietro and Friedel were known to each other as they were both working in the Fire Department. The Titusville Police Department statement, on the other hand, made no mention of a reason for the alleged murder-suicide or the nature of DePietro and Friedel's relationship, other than that they "were known to each other."
The Titusville Police Department is still investigating this event, and further information will be given after it is completed.
