1. Hojicha Green Tea

Originating from Japan, Kukicha is prepared by mixing soft and supple leaves, stems, and fiber, known as keba, usually collected in Sencha processing. 10. Kabusecha Green Tea
Kabusecha is a top-quality green tea, which means 'shaded tea' in Japanese. This tea is mainly called the mixture of sencha, with its soothing aroma and bitter taste, and Gyokuro, with its umami flavor.

18. Daejak Green tea
Daejak belongs to the southern-west Hadong region of South Korea. The region is said to be one of the best places in Korea for tea cultivation. Daejak comes from the final harvest of tea and is pale golden in color.

22. Anji Bai Cha
Anji Bai Cha or Anji White tea is another popular green tea from China. It comes under the top ten green teas in China. The name white is given due to the high level of white pekoe surrounding the bright green leaves. The tea turns light yellow in color with a refreshing aroma.
This green is known for its unique combination of taste and aroma. The exciting feature of this green tea is that it has twice the amount of amino acid as compared to other green tea, which promotes cortisol suppression and stress control.
23. Yunwu Green Tea
Yunwu green tea is one of the oldest and best Chinese green tea. Because it is grown in highly humid areas, it gets a distinctive flavor. The term Yunwu means ‘Clouds and Mists,’ representing two forms of condensation process that usually takes place in a place with high humidity.
Such places are, in fact, the best for finer tea growing. They are first handpicked and then later mechanically produced. Yunwu is grown in Mt. Lushan in Jiujiang City of Jiangxi province. Covered in white, Yunwu’s fragrance is strong and long-lasting. After brewing, the tea turns yellow.
24. Longjing Green Tea
Popularly known as Dragon Well Tea. Longjing is grown in the West Lake area of Zhejiang province in China. The tea is beneficial for digestion, for maintaining weight, nourishing skin, and controlling cancer cells in the body. The origin of this tea can be traced back to Tang Dynasty.
Longjing, also known as Lung Ching in the local language, is a pan-roasted green tea. Longjing is widely known for its sweet taste, strong aroma, and attractive shape. The leaves of this tea are flat in shape with a light green color and mellow aroma. After brewing, the tea releases a yellow color.
25. Taiping Houkui
Taiping Houkui also falls under the list of the top ten popular green teas in China. It is another of the oldest green teas that dates back to the Qing Dynasty. The small size of the leaf does not impact the fragrance of the tea, which can last up to four brewing.
Unlike many green teas, Taiping Houkui does not follow the rolling process. In fact, they are dried together using a wide variety of bamboo baskets heated at different temperatures. It is during this period that the tea retains its aromatic flavor and maintains its unique shape and other characteristics.
26. Gunpowder Green Tea
Most of the people might have tasted this tea once. It is an extremely famous green tea in China and a few other parts of the country, too. Gunpowder green tea is recognized for its versatile nature, potential health benefits, its flavor, and mostly its texture.
Originally known as Pearl Tea, the leaves of this tea are rolled individually to form a round pellet. Gunpowder could be mixed with milk, cocktails, or cold beverages. Its health benefits include increasing bone density, reducing cholesterol, lowering blood sugar, and others.
27. Lu’an Guapian Tea
Lu’an Guapian Tea has been listed among famous Chinese teas for quite some time. The term Lu’an Guapian Tea can be translated to Lu’an Melon Seed Tea. The name is inspired by the shape of the tea, which is flat and oval, similar to a melon seed.
Most of the tea is made using the first bud of the tea plant. This tea is one of the only tea that uses a second leaf from the branch in making tea. The vein from each leaf is properly removed, and the leaves are dry roasted and then shaped accordingly to control oxidization and dry the tea.

Huangshan Maofeng is a top-level green tea cultivated in the southeastern part of Anhui Province, China. It is a highly celebrated tea that is usually featured in the list of top famous teas in China. The tea has a light, grassy element with a smooth taste.
The yellow-colored tea has a long-lasting aroma and flavor of flowers and dry fruits. Maofeng is also called Yellow Mountain Fur Peak because of the altitude at which it grows, and the layer of white pekoe makes a sharp, pointy leaf.
29. Tamaryokucha Green Tea
Also known as guricha, the Tamaryokucha is the finest green tea in Japan. It releases a tangy taste similar to a berry and the taste of an almond afterward. It has a rich aroma of berries, grass, and citrus. This tea can be processed in two different ways: either by pan frying or by steaming.
