Who Won Gordon Ramsay Food Stars?

Chris Kanik won Gordon Ramsay Food Stars 2023. Chris competed with two other finalists for the last episode in the series.

Episode 1

The first episode aired on May 24, 2023. In the premier, Kagen Cox has eliminated from the show as he didn't admit he was a problem.

The guest judge Christopher Tompkins, the Founder of Broad Street Oyster Co., joined the first-week episode, Seaside Shack, to judge the competitors, per SportsKeeda.

The contestants were divided into teams and assigned to create a food shack on the beach. At last, the group with the most worthwhile shed was safe from the elimination round.

The Red Team made an impressive profit, $1564, in just two hours. The yellow team made only $1263, while the blue team made $1300.

From only a $67 difference, the yellow team lost due to disorganized, poor quality control, and spent the most money on ingredients.

In the first week, a Richland-born Cox failed his hope as he could not impress Judge Ramsay, as the inventor couldn't adapt to the problem.

Episode 2

In episode two, Host With The Most, Elisa Strauss goes home from the blue team. The episode aired on May 31, 2023.

At a charity gala for St. Jude Children's Hospital, the two teams supply food and drinks with impactful displays to 100+ donors.

However, Strauss's presentation was not worthwhile for the judges. She was in charge of the group but couldn't define her leadership.

They collected a total of $110,000, where Team Yellow raised $90,000 and only $20,000 from team blue.

She became the second contestant who failed to impress the judges and got eliminated from the show on the second week.

She is Confetti Cakes & Company founder, The Real Craftsy teacher, Food Network champion, and author.

The mother of 3 mentioned it was tough as Gordon told her to go home on national TV.

She thanked Food Stars for allowing her to show her Confetti Cakes & Company kits, but more importantly, for permitting her to come home.

Episode 3

In episode 3, You've Got Wine, Manhattan entrepreneur Jake Aronskind has eliminated. Jourdan Higgs and Chanel Goodson also leave the competition.

When Gordon arrived in Napa Valley, there were only 12 contestants. The judge added due to personal reasons, Chanel departed from the show.

Similarly, Jourdan's restaurant needs him back, and it was the hardest decision to make for him. But he had also left.

Elizabeth Vianna, Chimney Rock Winemaker, joined this week, and the contestants had to make food pairings that complemented the wine.

Most importantly, the branding and content of the box should meet Napa Valley consumers.

Ashley, Lan, Queen, Jake, Chris, and Tony were on the yellow team, whereas Sydney, Caroline, Luther, Megan, and Aaron were on the blue team.

While the Blue team won the week's challenge as the Yellow team could not outshine them with their confusing box.

Among Jake, Lan, Tony, and Gordon sent Jake home as the entrepreneur came up with a wine name but could not step up and present his vision.

Episode 4

In episode 4, Got This in the Bag, the founder of Luther Bob Luther Chen has eliminated.

This time the teams create a tempting menu for a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles that serve office workers.

Queen, Lan, Luther, Chris, and Caroline were on the blue team, whereas Ashley, Tony, Megan, Aaron, and Sydney were on the red team.

The teams ran a ghost kitchen for Uber Eats with none other than Youtube's biggest star, Mr. Beast, as a guest judge.

The two groups went up against each other while cooking in a pared-down ghost kitchen.

The red team won the challenge, while the Blue team could not outshine the Uber Eats challenge.

At last, Luther Chen couldn't impress legendary YouTube sensation Mr. Beast, and his Food Stars journey ended in the fourth week.

Episode 5

In episode 5, Campfire Feast, the CEO & founder of Indulge Catering LLC, Queen Precious-Jewel Z, has eliminated.

In challenge 5, the nine remaining participants head to Tuscon, Arizona, for their next challenge, where they make an outdoor dining experience.

Each team should take ten excited thrill-seeking guests on tour and guide them while preparing a mouthwatering meal to day end.

Tony, Ashley, Chris, and Sydney were on the red team, and Caroline, Lan, Aaron, Queen, and Megan were on the yellow team.

The fifth-week winning team is the red team, which received a 93% approval rating from the guest.

In Yellow Team, Caroline and Lan worked hard and saved from grading.

At last, Gordon eliminated Queen as he could not invest in someone unable to consider another opinion from his teammates.

Episode 6

In episode 6, Social Feed, Toto co-founder Sydney Webb got eliminated.

Gordon Ramsay tests the remaining eight contestants' digital marketing skills. They create their TikTok video showing how to make a delicious farm-to-table vegetarian recipe using ingredients from the farm.

Sydney, Caroline, Tony, and Ashley were on the Yellow team, and Aaron, Lan, Chris, and Megan were on the Blue team.

Although both videos got mixed feedback, the Blue team won the challenge.

Gordon sent Sydney back home as she couldn't stick up for herself.

Episode 7

In episode 7, Cup of Joe, the founder of Bandida Horchata Cold Brew, Megan Meza, has eliminated.

This time Gordon tests the market awareness and customer service ability in downtown Seattle.

It is the first time using schoolyard picks to decide teams, where Lan chose Ashely, Chris, and Caroline in her Blue team.

On the other hand, Megan picked Aaron and Tony in her Red team.

The blue team won the challenge, and from the Red team, Gordon eliminated Megan.

Episode 8

In episode 8, As Seen on TV, Snow Cone King founder Aaron Valentine and Tony Balestreri have been eliminated.

The remaining top 6 contestants sell kitchen products on Live television this week.

They are divided into two teams, the Red team is Chris, Aaron, and Tony, while the Yellow team is Lan, Ashely, and Caroline.

It is the most shocking episode of the season through double elimination.

The Yellow team won the QVC showdown, and from the Red team, Gordon sent Aaron Valentine and Tony Balestreri home.

Episode 9

In episode 9, Feast Your Eyes, Happy Grub innovator Ashley Davies has eliminated.

For the semi-final, the remaining top four entrepreneurs headed to Vegas for their new challenge. They work together to merge their dishes with a circus act to show they earn a place in the finale.

Among the four contestants, Ashley Davies got eliminated from the semi-final challenge.

Chanel Goodson left Food Stars because her business needed her support.

In episode 3, Gordon shared Chan Goodson quit the show due to personal reasons.

After departing from the Food Stars, Chanel Food Stars shared the note while expressing gratitude to Gordon, Fox, and the reason for departure from the show.

Although it was a hard decision, she couldn't let her business fall in the process.

The culinary challenge series signed the contestant as an individual, but they stands as a team for these ten weeks.

First Week Teams 

In the first challenge, the competitors sell street food. On the beach, the competitors were distributed into teams and tasked to create delicious food to win the competition.

The team that makes the least amount of profit at lunchtime loses it. At least one person will be leaving the competition from the losing group.

In the first episode, Ramsey chose five to his left as the red team.

In the week, the low profit-earning team Yellow contestant Cox has to leave the competition as he cannot make his first impression.

Second Week Team

Fourteen remaining contestants joined next week to raise the fund for a cancer hospital. In this episode, they were separated into two teams. 

The yellow team includes Chanel, Chris, Megan, Ashley, Caroline, Jourdan, and Luther.

The blue team includes Lan, Queen, Sydney, Lisa, Aaron, Tony, and Jake.

Third Week Team

Eleven contestants joined Napa Valley to create the wine and food pairing.

Yellow Team: Ashley, Lan, Queen, Jake, Chris, and Tony
