What Happened To Frankie Rosello? Alexia Echevarria's Son Accident Details

Alexia Echevarria life altered dramatically between Seasons 1 and 2 of The Real Housewives of Miami.

Frankie Rosello, her younger son, was traveling shotgun in the passenger seat when he was killed in a vehicle accident in August of 2011.

The car's driver was a friend who, due to the rain, lost control of the vehicle and it crossed the median and collided with a vehicle traveling in the other way.

For three months, the then-13-year-old was in a coma at a pediatric hospital to allow the swelling in his brain to subside. He had to stay in the hospital for another three months to heal.

Alexia left the program at this point, only to return in a tiny role in the second season.

"When Frankie had this accident before Season 2, I didn't have as much engagement in RHOM because I couldn't handle it psychologically and emotionally," Alexia told Distractify recently.

Though Alexia was able to highlight some of Frankie's achievements on the show in the months following his accident, that all changed when RHOM was discontinued in 2013.

Frankie Rosello was born on February 28, 1997, in Miami, Florida, under the sign of Pisces; he is of Cuban heritage and possesses American citizenship.

Frankie was reared in Miami by his mother Alexia and stepfather Herman Echevarria, with his elder brother Peter Rosello; their real father is Pedro 'Peggy' Rosello, to whom Alexia was married from 1992 to 1996.

Frankie's brother, Peter, appears to have followed in his father's footsteps, as he was arrested in 2012 for punching a homeless man in the groins.

While he was sleeping on the street, which Peter filmed and posted on his Facebook account, thinking it was funny; the Miami Beach Police Department did not, and he was arrested.

Frankie Rosello was reared in Miami by his mother Alexia and stepfather Herman Echevarria, with his elder brother Peter Rosello; their biological father is Pedro 'Peggy' Rosello, to whom Alexia was married from 1992 to 1996.

Augusto Falcon and Salvador Magluta, dubbed "The Cocaine Cowboys," were accused of trafficking over 75 tons of cocaine into the United States from Columbia. Frankie's father was a drug dealer who worked for them.

He is solely known as the son of reality show star Alexia Echevarria, who rose to fame after appearing in the series "Real Housewives of Miami," the fourth season of which has been confirmed for streaming on Peacock, the NBC streaming service.

As a result, his mother, Alexia Echevarria, was one of the official housewives on the inaugural season of Real Housewives of Miami. Despite the fact that she is back for a second season, we won't be seeing much of her.
