Eve was born and raised in Blair Atholl, Scotland, by her father, Gordon Muirhead, and mother, Lin Muirhead. 

Further, her father is a curler from Scotland and a world champion. Gordon was a substitute for the gold medal-winning Scottish team at the 1999 Ford World Curling Championships in Saint John, New Brunswick, and even won silver medals for his team in 1992, 1993, and 1995.

In Addition, he obtained a gold medal at the 1994 European Curling Championships, a bronze medal in 1992, and a silver medal in 1998.

She lost to the United States, Denmark, and Canada after winning only three of nine round-robin matches, and the team failed to qualify for the semi-finals. Similarly, as a skip, she resumed the Great Britain Women's curling team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The athlete is the winner of the Bronze Medal as the Great Britain team skipped defeating Switzerland 6–5 in the Bronze Medal play-off. It drives her the youngest ever skipper to win an Olympic medal.

Muirhead is the winner of the silver medal as the Scottish team skipped at the 2010 Ford World Women's Curling Championship after losing 8–6 to Germany in the final, which moved to a different end.
