Leatherwood is currently 22 years old. He was born in Woodstock, Georgia, on February 4, 2000. He joined Georgia Southern University and completed graduation in May 2022. 

Leatherwood was close to his grandfather from his childhood. He has diagnosed form lung cancer. Also, he refused Chemotherapy. However, the singer convinced his grandparents to go through medical treatment and had surgeries. 

Afterward, his grandfather's health improved. Leatherwood had previously auditioned for season 18 of American Idol in 2019. However, the singer was not selected for the Hollywood Round. 

Bryce Leatherwood Band has performed in various programs. They performed in May 2022 in the first ticket concert. Also, the band played at different studios around the singer's hometown.
