Ben McLachlan Parents: Who Are Craig And Yuriko McLachlan?
McLachlan was born in the New Zealand town of Queenstown. Yuriko is his mother, and Craig is his father.
He attended Wakatipu High School before transferring to the University of California, where he played for the California Golden Bears from 2011 to 2014.
Bale and Thomas Shimada assisted in facilitating the switch of allegiance so that McLachlan could benefit from the Japan Tennis Association's funding and support.
McLachlan plans to marry Georgia Brown, a personal trainer he's known since elementary school, in December 2020.

Riki is a political economy major and won the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championship in doubles and advanced to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship quarterfinals.

Ben McLachlan Family Tree Explored
Ben's mother is Japanese, and his father hails from New Zealand. "Kiwi" is a popular self-reference among New Zealanders, but it is also used internationally.
Ben visited Japan regularly as a child, learning "reasonably fluent" Japanese, and began representing Japan in 2017.
"I lived most of my life in New Zealand, but when I was younger, I'd come once a year to Japan to spend time with my grandmother," he stated on apttour.
Ben primarily plays right-handed (one-handed backhanded) and began playing professionally in 2014.
