Bear Grylls was born in Donaghadee, County Down, Northern Ireland. He was born as Edward Michael Bear Grylls to parents Sir Michael Grylls and Sarah “Sally”, Lady Grylls.
Till 4, he grew up in Donaghadee until his family moved to Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. His father Sir Michael Grylls was a Conservative politician. He is sanctified with a sibling, Lara Fawcett.

Bear Grylls joined Army from 1994–1997. He served in the British Army with 21 SAS as a survival instructor. He was twice posted to North Africa. Soon his time in SAS ended as free-fall parachuting accident in Kenya.
