Alexi Pappas and Husband Jeremy Teicher Are Life As Well As Work Partners

Alexi Pappas husband Jeremy Teicher is an award-winning filmmaker. Alexi and Jeremy got married on June 3, 2018, in New Jersey.

This extremely talented writer, producer and director came from the suburbs of New Jersey. The director was born in 1988 to his parents in the northeastern U.S. state of New Jersey. 

Jeremy Teicher completed his high school at The Pingry School in 2006 and later graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Film, English and Theater in 2010.

After his graduation, his first work as a director was This Is Us: Video Stories from Senegalese Youth. He was also the producer of the movie. 

Later he met Alexi Pappas, with whom he co-wrote his award-winning first feature film, Tall as the Baobab Tree. This movie was made in a narrative-documentary style which gained praise from more than 50 film festivals. 

The movie was inspired by the true stories from Jeremy's short movie he made earlier, This Is Us.

The movie was supported by Dartmouth's prestigious Lombard Public Service Fellowship. The movie was even nominated for Student Academy Award. 

Later along with Alexi, he directed two more movies Tracktown and Olympic Dreams.

Other than that, he has worked with establishments such as Netflix, Hulu, NBC, SXSW, Sony and The Olympics to create a successful team in storytelling and technical project management. 

Due to his amazing directing skills in independent movies, he was named to Filmmaker Magazine's prestigious 25 New Faces of Independent Film list where only a select few are listed. 

Alexi Pappas and Jeremy Teicher have been happily married for more than four years. 

The couple had known each other before they worked as a writer for the award-winning movie Tall as the Baobab Tree which was released in 2012. The movie was co-written by the couple and produced and directed by Jeremy himself. 

After the movie, there was some resemblance to her real life as the same alumni of the university or as colleagues that have worked on the same project.

Having worked in other movies such as EverQuest Forever and Speed Gooogle they became very close to each other. 

By the time they had gone for the movie premiere in 2016, both had actually started dating each other. In her Instagram post on June 6, 2016, she posted a photo with Jeremy and wrote they were in love. 

From then on, Jeremy began to appear on Alexi's posts from time to time. Later on May 4, 2018, Jeremy Teicher proposed to Alexi and she accepted it.

The proposal was just before her Olympic games and after their movie was released. 

And on June 3, 2018, the couple got married to each other. Jeremy was donned in a Blue Edgar Suit while Alexi was suited in Katherine Tash Ren Dress. 

Alexi Starred in Jeremy's Feature Film

Marathon runner Alexi has starred in most of the movies directed by Jeremy. This has been beneficial for both husband and wife.

To date, the director has directed movies such as This Is Us, Foursquare Day, Tall as the Baobab Tree, Everquest Forever, Tracktown, Speed Goggles, Olympic Dreams Havin' It and Not an Artist. 

Out of all those movies, she has acted in Tracktown, Olympic Dreams, Havin' It and Not an Artist. These are also the movies that both of them have worked as producers and writers. 

Alexi Pappas childhood was not very much spent on happy days. Pappas family had gone through the tragedy of losing someone precious. 

Her father was of Greek roots coming from Rhodes, one of the largest islands of Greece. While her mother was born in America. She has a brother who is four years older than her. 

Pappas grew up in California from a young age. When she was just four years old little girl, a grave disaster fell in her family as her mother passed away.

After the mourning, her father tried his best to engage her in physical activities so that it would take her mind off the trauma.

Her brother is Louis Pappas who was born four years earlier than her on December 5, 1986. He started his own company called Electric Avenue in 2021, working in an urban mobility strategy firm.

Before that, he was a political appointee in the Obama White House and a member of Obama's advance team.
