Al Pacino Parents

On April 25, 1940, Alfredo James Pacino was born in New York City's East Harlem area.

He was born to Rose Gerardi and Salvatore Pacino. Both of his parents were Italian-Americans.

When he was two years old, Pacino's parents divorced.

He subsequently relocated to the Bronx with his mother to live with Kate and James Gerardi, who were Sicilian Italian immigrants from Corleone.

Pacino's father was born in San Fratello, Sicily. However, he migrated to Covina, California, to work as an insurance salesman and restaurateur.

After being accepted through an audition, he went on to the High School of Performing Arts. However, his mother objected to his decision, so he left home after an argument.

Pacino worked as a messenger, busboy, janitor, and postal clerk to fund his acting training and worked in the mailroom for Commentary magazine.

Pacino's mother died in 1962 at the age of 43. His grandfather James died the following year.

"I was only 22, and the two most influential persons in my life had gone, so that drove me into a spiral," Pacino recalled as the lowest time of his life.

"My father now resides in California and is married for the fourth time. I suppose I felt hatred toward him at times when I wanted to release some energy, and so I became angry towards him." Pacino says about his father.

But I'd always known in my head that my father hadn't abandoned me. Something like that, though, is sure to leave scars: it must have colored my life.

Al Pacino Children

Pacino is the father of three children. His eldest child, Julie Marie (born 1989), is his daughter with acting coach Jan Tarrant.

With actress Beverly D'Angelo, with whom he had a relationship from 1996 to 2003, he has twins Anton James and Olivia Rose (born January 25, 2001).

However, he's never been married.

While the actor isn't very open about his family or personal life, he did explain why he embraces his faults as a father.

"I'll tell you why," Al told Closer in 2015. "I've learned from my errors, and I've made a lot of them." "Unless you fall off a roof, mistakes aren't mistakes." Then you won't be able to return."

Al Pacino Net Worth

Al Pacino's net worth is now estimated to be $120 million.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Al Pacino's breakout role as Michael Corleone in The Godfather earned him $35,000.

It was the same as if you had struck gold. He probably never expected that his appearance in The Godfather II would net him $500,000 (plus 10% of the film's earnings).

Pacino's wealth is not just derived from his acting career. He also shows his dedication to the craft by doing related jobs.

He has been co-president of the acclaimed Actors Studio, an organization for actors, directors, and playwrights, since 2018.

He claims that the work he does is more important to him than the money he earns.
