She has to wear an eyepatch consistently; however, it solely depends on the intensity of the injury that she might have to wear it for the rest of her life. In some cases, the patient can be on and off throughout the year.

Based on her public appearances, we can safely conclude that she works fine as a news anchor and a TV host. She seems to have no problem, and her current vision is enough to get going.

The 5 ft. and 8" tall journalist Abby Hornacek wears an eyepatch, a patch that protects injured eyes. The reporter has undergone multiple surgeries to recover from sustaining eye injuries.

Had she not had her eye injured, we would've seen Abby working in a different profession; however, being a famous journalist across the country hasn't been less satisfying for her either.

As a journalist, Abby travels across the country for her show PARK'D, which features the country's national treasures, mainly the national parks all over the United States. And, with her 'American Arenas', she determines to explore the sports arena in a country with a significant history behind it.
