Michael Wooley passed away on April 5 of 2019. All of his admirers and well-wishers are still looking for him, both in death and in life.

The Skookum tale was inspired by Michael Wooley's amazing experience with Bigfoot in North Louisiana. While deer hunting in North Louisiana's DeSoto Parish in December 1981, he had his first experience with a bigfoot.

He went out hunting one day at three o'clock. A young doe deer rushed up to his deer stand and basically settled down next to it while it was looking due north at approximately 12 o'clock.

She had been sprinting so vigorously that her mouth was frothing. He believed he would get to shoot the large deer who was pursuing her.

He caught a glimpse of something hopping to a tree approximately 60 feet distant out of the corner of his eye. When he turned to look to his right, he noticed a 7 foot tall, roughly 450 pound monster.

On April 5, 2019, Michael Wooley passed away, and the exact cause of death was unknown. But there is no evidence of a murder, and it is thought that Michael died of a health problem.

Michael parents passed away before him. He was blessed with  45-year-old wife, Jackie of Keatchi with whom he was living a healthy life together.
