Jon Batiste is still on Colbert but is missing the program due to his health complications.

Jon Batiste stated on Friday last week that he was suffering from consistent signs of Covid-19 infection and thus will be staying in quarantine, aware of other co-workers' and crew members' health concerns.

The singer posted on his Instagram that he will be missing from The Late Show on CBS.

He also postponed the premiere of American Symphony at Carnegie Hall.

In a brief message to his supporters, he wrote that he woke up with symptoms of Covid and is currently being quarantined to safeguard his family members and staff at the Late Show on CBS.

His Covid infection came as a shock and only a few days after he attended the Met Gala ceremony, alongside top profile in the industry.

Jon Batiste is being treated for his Covid complications after he reported his illness, a few days after the Met Gala event.

He has been taking a leave from the Late Show since May 6, 2022, and also postponed his American Symphony premiere, the occasion that he planned for years.

He also addressed the issue of his absence and stated that he will resume his work and projects soon after his quarantine ends and he fully recovers.
