Is Callie Leaving Good Trouble?

Mitchell has revealed that she will be leaving the show after several great seasons.

Mitchell made her television debut as Callie in Freeform's "The Fosters," a popular show about a queer, interracial couple raising a blended family that tackled many societal issues and stereotypes (via ABC).

Fans were won over by Callie when she was younger, but she's been especially popular in the "The Fosters" spinoff series "Good Trouble."

With a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, audiences were enthralled by the spinoff series, which followed Callie and her foster sister Mariana, played by Cierra Ramirez, as she travels to Los Angeles alone. They struggle with their work and love life at the same time.

Why Did Maia Mitchell Leave?

Mitchell wrote on Instagram that she left because the pandemic was challenging for her. After all, she was isolated from her family and loved ones.

She subsequently told People about her decision. "For me, the epidemic was quite difficult. I realize how fortunate I am to be able to work, but it also meant that I was separated from my family for 18 months, "She informed the news organization.

"There was also the issue of not being able to see them if something went wrong." Her supporting castmates were not surprised when she revealed that she intends to return to Australia.

Mitchell went on to say to People about her future ambitions, saying, "I'm doing a lot of auditions. A few projects in the works could be completed this summer. But, to be honest, I'm just enjoying the break right now. I'm at my house."
