Douglas Wolf is the suspect in a double homicide that occurred in Green River late last night, according to a news release from Chief Tom Jarvie of the Green River Police Department.

According to Jarvie, Wolf has not yet been captured. However, there is solid proof that Wolf is now being held in check by deputies from the Rock Springs Police Department and Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office in an industrial region to the north of Rock Springs.

Operations by law enforcement are still going on there.

The public is urged to stay away from the region between Elk and Yellowstone and Villa Lane north of Rock Springs and to report any suspicious activity thereby calling the joint dispatch center at 307-875-1400.

The identity of Douglas Wolf has not been disclosed yet to the public. Thus we couldn't fetch any information about him. 

He is simply a suspect; it must yet be established whether he is the real offender.

According to the investigation, the gunshot at the Embassy Tavern and the disturbance report on Riverview Drive were connected.

As this scenario developed, officers from the SCSO and RSPD swiftly responded to help the GRPD. The ongoing investigation has been supported all night long by agents from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

GRPD police officers were initially called to a disturbance along Riverview Drive. According to the information given to dispatch, a person there aimed a gun at the calling party.

A second call reporting an active shooter at the Embassy Tavern was received as police were responding to the first call.

When officers arrived at the Embassy, they discovered two bodies and one injured person. The injured person was taken by EMS to Memorial Hospital.
