Yani Tseng | Biography

The unpredictable and brilliantly talented, Yani Tseng is a prestigious name in the field of golfing. She with her outrageous fashion statements and outclassed skills has maintained a special spot in her own legacy. With the talent that she posses there is no underestimating this highly profound character in the game of golf. Throughout her career, she has been acclaimed by many honors and acknowledgements and yet the diva with her simplicity and sociality is well-praised persona of the sports industry. Born in Gueishan, Taoyuan of Taiwan in January 23 of 1989, she holds a nationality of Taiwan. She currently resides in Orlando, Florida of the United States of America. She was born to Mao Hsin Tseng and Yu-Yun Yang. She stays in Orlando, Florida of the United States in The Lake Golf and Country Club. She bought a house from a well-known professional golfer Annika Sörenstam in April of 2009. In 2012, the Time Magazine has named her among 100 Most Influential People in the World.

 

Being a Taiwanese professional golfer, she plays in U.S. for the LPGA Tour. She has been honored as the youngest player ever to win five championships and is top ranked golfer ranked number 12 by Women’s World Golf Rankings from 2011 to 2013 for approximately 109 weeks. She was born to play the game of golf as from her early age she was related to the basics of the game and went on to start a career out of it. From 2004 until 2006, she was the top amateur golfer of Taiwan. She has won numerous tournaments as an amateur, which include wins in U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links in 2004, Callaway Junior World Golf Championship in 2002 and North and South Women’s Amateur Golf Championship in 2005. She also got second in Callaway Junior WGC and North and south WAGC and a semi finalist in U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links.

 

After her triumphs as an amateur golfer, she quickly went on to play professionally in January 2007. In 2008, she won her first LPGA championship and became the first non-American champion to be acclaimed by the feat. She also was the youngest player to win in LPGA Championship and second youngest in LPGA major. In 2008, she was declared LPGA tour Rookie of the Year. She with her brilliant performances became the fastest player with earnings above $2 million and her net worth surprisingly increased her status. She has won 27 of the professional games, which include McDonald’s LPGA Championship in 2008, LPGA Corning Classic in 2009, Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2010, Ricoh Women’s British Open in August of 2010 and P&G NW Arkansas Championship in September of 2010. Her wins in the year after 2010 included wins in Honda LPGA Thailand in 2011, LPGA State Farm Classic in June of 2011, Wegmans LPGA Championship again in June 2011, Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in September of 2011, LPGA Hana Bank Championship in October of 2011 and Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship again in October 2011. Her feats did not stop as she went on winning other championships and tournaments. She has in her acclaim Honda LPGA Thailand in February 2012, RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup in March 2012 and Kia Classic in March of 2012. She also has many other professional; wins in her name like DLF Women’s Indian Open in 2007, TLPGA Tour Nan-Fong Tournament in  2007, CN Canadian Women’s Tour in  2007, Royal Ladies Open in 2008, Taifong Ladies Open in 2010, Handa Women’s Australian Open in 2010 to name the few among the 12 wins in the other categories of the championship in the game of golf. Her rankings in the world ranking was 34 in  2007 which then went to 2 in 2008n and 5 in 2009 and 2010. However, she consistently stayed in number 1 from 2011 to 2012. The undefeatable champion golfer of the history, she has made a hot spot for many of the endorsers and record dealers. Her unique style of golf swing is influential in many regards of the game.
