He was a student in Dalton School and got his formal graduation from Vassar College. During his work in the cafe his work was reviewed with high appreciation and rankings. He in his four and half year experience for the cafe got the fame any other chef would die for. He finally parted ways and left the job in 1997.

 

His work as a columnist and a food writer also got high reviews and acknowledgement as he was a proud recipient of an award from the Mpls. St. Paul Magazine. He worked as an editor and journalist for many of the publications and is also a widely appreciated meal guide and spokes person for Travel Leaders and Elite Destination Homes. Apart from it he has also been associated with the radio industry. He has been recruited as a radio jockey for the radio shows like Chowhounds, The Andrew Zimmern Show and Food Court with Andrew Zimmern. In addition to his radio career his highly acclaimed television career got him featured in Fox 9 News Minneapolis, HGTV's Rebecca Garden and Tip-ical Nary Allen. His social works and charity events also had his fame in a high boost.

 

His recognizable presentation on television is widely derived from the television series Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern which was broadcasted in November 1, 2006. Andrew Zimmern has been awarded from James Beard Award and Effie Award for his feats in outstanding representation of food on television.
